SEMINAR: FOCUS GODS AND HUMANS - FAITH AND POLITICS
Weds, 1 FEB  13:00     Auktionsverket Kulturarena

This year's focus Gods and humans will screen films in different ways about faith and religion, and in this conversation involved some of the directors. How they work with to describe the multiplicity and emotive subject as religion on the film; what are the opportunities, challenges and difficulties? The Son of Joseph Eugène Green alludes to the biblical family history. Omar Regan has made American Sharia in the film company Halalywood, which he started to counter biased image of Muslims and Islam. Elizabeth E. Schuch's The Book of Birdie is set in a convent and in The Preacher says Magdi Ahmed Ali of the interaction between a Muslim preacher and the Egyptian authorities. Here they meet in a conversation about religion, politics and film.

The seminar is held in English and conducted in collaboration with the Swedish church
